h3 class 1
The H3 Class 1 license in North Carolina allows an HVAC contractor to legally install, maintain, and service heating and cooling systems in residential, commercial, and light industrial buildings. It covers systems that heat air using electricity or fuel, move that air through ductwork, and air conditioning equipment up to 15 tons. The license is issued by the North Carolina State Board of Examiners of Plumbing, Heating, and Fire Sprinkler Contractors, and it requires verified hands-on experience plus passing a state exam. In simple terms, this license tells you the contractor is approved by the state to work on most common HVAC systems you’ll see in homes and everyday commercial buildings, and they’ve proven they can do the work safely and correctly.
SP-PH Specialty License
The SP-PH specialty license is issued by the Electrical Board and authorizes limited electrical work related to HVAC systems. Specifically, this license allows the contractor to connect electrical power to HVAC equipment. This includes making electrical connections necessary for HVAC units to operate, such as power feeds to furnaces, air handlers, condensers, and related HVAC components. The license is focused on the electrical supply side of HVAC equipment, not on system design or mechanical installation.
h2 license
In North Carolina, the H2 license allows an HVAC contractor to install, service, and replace commercial HVAC equipment with a capacity over 15 tons, excluding boilers. If the unit conditions air and serves a commercial building, this license applies. This license covers large-scale forced-air and packaged HVAC systems used in commercial environments such as offices, warehouses, schools, healthcare facilities, and industrial spaces. It is not limited to residential or small commercial work. The H2 license is issued by the North Carolina State Board of Examiners of Plumbing, Heating, and Fire Sprinkler Contractors. Contractors earn it by documenting qualifying field experience and passing a state exam that focuses on commercial HVAC systems, load requirements, installation standards, and code compliance at scale.

OUR MISSION.

When you welcome a company on to your property to repair or replace your HVAC system, you want confidence that the work will be done with respect, precision, and care. As a veteran owned and family operated HVAC company serving the Triad, Top Tier HVAC Solutions approaches every job with a sense of duty and commitment that comes directly from military experience.
In the military, reliability was a standard, not a selling point. Mission success depended on preparation, communication, and doing the job right the first time. That mindset guides how we serve our clients today. When we schedule an appointment, we show up. When we provide recommendations, they are based on integrity and safety, not upselling. When we complete a repair, we stand behind the work because accountability is part of who we are.
Being veteran owned also means we value community. The Triad is home. It is where we live, raise our families, and share the same hot summers and chilly winters that impact your comfort. When your system fails during a ninety-degree afternoon or a surprise cold snap, you are not routed to a call center or waiting for someone unfamiliar with our area. You are speaking directly with people who know the homes and businesses, the neighborhoods, and the weather challenges that influence HVAC performance.
We provide installation for new or updated systems, repair when equipment stops working, and maintenance that extends the life of your investment. Maintenance is often overlooked but pays off significantly in reduced costs and increased reliability.
Our focus is professionalism, honest communication, and safe workmanship. HVAC solutions should be clear, straightforward, and stress free.
If you want dependable service from a veteran owned team that treats your home with respect, we would be honored to earn your business and your trust.
